Born in 1892 in the Buenos Aires district of Barracas, died in Paris in 1924; Eduardo Arolas was a bandoneonist, orchestra leader and tango composer with the by-name El Tigre del Bandoneon. After first musical experiences on the guitar he devoted himself to the bandoneon and from 1911 studied theory, solfège and harmony at the conservatory of José Bombig. He wrote more than 100 works, among them the tangos “Lagrimas”, “La cachila”, “El Marne” and “Viborita”. On the Cybele album Katrin Dorn: Tangogeschichten (2004) he is represented as composer.
