Technical precision in the service of artistic depth
Post-production is the decisive stage at which a recording becomes a finished musical release. At Cybele we combine the highest technical precision with a deep understanding of musical interpretation, space and sonic aesthetics.
From the first edit through mixing to the final master, we work with high-resolution audio formats and contemporary production methods. The sonic identity of a recording is preserved throughout: naturalness, dynamics and spatial depth come first.
Our workflows support classic stereo productions as well as immersive formats such as surround, Dolby Atmos, 3D binaural stereo and Ambisonics. In addition we offer DSD workflows, using the particular sonic qualities of this high-resolution format for audiophile releases.

Editing and mixing in PCM up to 32 bit float / 384 kHz or native DSD

Mastering in the following formats:
- Stereo
- surround (4.0, 5.0, 5.1 up to 7.1)
- Dolby Atmos 7.1.4
- 3D binaural stereo (where the recordings were made with our HEADacoustics dummy-head system)
- Ambisonics (first to third order)
- Apple Digital Masters (Cybele is an official Apple partner for 24-bit masters – every project passes through the encoding and verification process prescribed by Apple)

The entire post-production is carried out on the Merging Pyramix digital audio workstation.
High-resolution signal processing is supported by Merging converter technology and the Merging Anubis SPS Premium. The Anubis SPS handles high-resolution 32-bit formats such as DXD and provides precise monitoring control. Digital-to-analogue conversion takes place immediately before the analogue studio playback chain, on which the productions are judged.

Analogue mastering with SPL PASSEQ and SPL Tube Vitalizer

Optional: DSD mastering for maximum resolution and transparency – particularly close to the analogue ideal and combinable with analogue mastering and restoration components such as the SPL PASSEQ, the SPL Tube Vitalizer or the CEDAR system, for an uncompromising signal chain from the original signal to the final master.
