Sustainability

Living up to responsibility – ecological, efficient, forward-looking

Sustainability is not an option for us but part of what we mean by quality. Quality is not only a technical or artistic question – it always touches on the responsibility with which we make our productions. At Cybele we therefore now work entirely without fossil fuels.

Since 2024 our site has had a modern solar installation with solar thermal panels and a heat pump from a European manufacturer. The energy needed to heat and cool the studio – above all the sensitive equipment room housing our audio technology – is thus supplied in a particularly gentle way.

We generate most of the energy we need ourselves. The remaining electricity comes exclusively from certified renewable sources. In addition we rely on energy-efficient climate control and low-consumption LED lighting throughout the studio and living areas.

Since 2025 a fully electric vehicle has completed our infrastructure. It is charged preferably with our own solar power – especially when more energy is produced than the site needs at that moment. A large part of our mobility is thus local, emission-free and powered by the sun.

Whatever solar power remains is made available around the clock at our publicly accessible charging point. Electric vehicles can charge there at 11 kW on attractive terms. Locally generated energy is thus used as directly as possible – for the studio, for our own mobility and for other electric drivers.

For us sustainability means generating energy where it is needed, using it efficiently and drawing on available resources as directly as possible.

And because responsibility means more to us than energy efficiency, our site also includes a small garden where – in the right season – we grow biodynamic fruit. When weather and occasion allow, we are glad to receive our artists and guests here: not only to listen to music, but now and then for a personal exchange with a culinary touch.

This all-round approach lets us combine the highest technical standards with a forward-looking environmental awareness – quietly, efficiently and in keeping with what we understand by responsibility.

For sustainable practice and innovation do not begin at the mastering stage – but with the energy that makes them possible.
