Simón Julián Doggenweiler-Menkhaus is a violinist and viola player. As a member of the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker he also appears in chamber ensembles, among them the Quatuor Aviron. A recording by the Iris Quartet at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf documents him on the viola; there the ensemble turned to Hindemith’s parody of Wagner’s *Fliegender Holländer*. Doggenweiler-Menkhaus has also taken part as a guest musician in productions and concerts by Die Toten Hosen.
