Bodo Hartwig

Born in 1966, Bodo Hartwig is a graduate sound engineer, freelance radio author and sound artist. He studied sound and image engineering as well as piano at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf and has worked since 1998 for public broadcasting in the fields of artistic spoken word, audiobook and television. An internship at Meridian Records in London introduced him to single-point recording techniques. In 2007 and 2008 he was an artistic assistant at the chair of experimental radio of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. His works range from soundscape compositions in stereo, 3D and surround through sound installations and sound objects to artistic photography; residencies and exhibitions have taken him to Germany and Korea. He is a member of the Verband Deutscher Tonmeister and of the Deutscher Verband der Pressejournalisten. On the Cybele album DEGEM Vol. 8 – 90 Seconds of Reality (2005) he is represented with “Golden Goal” (2002).
