Claudius Brüse is a composer and sound designer born in Bonn. After a composition fellowship at the Cornish Institute in Seattle he studied jazz composition and arranging in Cologne and composition, electronic and computer composition at the Folkwangschule Essen with Nicolaus A. Huber and Dirk Reith. He completed his studies in 1987 with the Folkwang Prize. His work comprises concert music from the solo piece to large orchestral forces as well as music for film, television and the media, joining compositional precision to technical curiosity about sound.
