Born in Herford in 1951; Isabeella Beumer works in Düsseldorf as a voice artist, sound poet and author. After periods in Vienna and Hamburg she studied sound poetry and experimental literature with H. C. Artmann, Allen Ginsberg, Blixa Bargeld and Gerhard Rühm among others; in 1993/94 she took lessons in experimental singing with Sainkho Namtchylak. Her publications include Componere (1992), das meinen abgepflückt (1997), the live CD Nu with Vinko Globokar (1998) as well as the CDs Lichtwind (2007) and My Voice (2008). In 1997 she received the Logos Award in Ghent for the best performance of the year. On the Cybele album DEGEM Vol. 8 – 90 Seconds of Reality (2005) she is represented as composer and performer.
