Born 1951 in Herford; Isabeella Beumer works in Düsseldorf as a voice artist, sound poet and author. After periods in Vienna and Hamburg she studied sound poetry and experimental literature with H. C. Artmann, Allen Ginsberg, Blixa Bargeld and Gerhard Rühm, among others. Her publications include „Componere“, „das meinen abgepflückt“ and the live CD „Nu“ with Vinko Globokar. Her work explores the boundaries between voice, language, poetry and performative sound art.
