Katrin Dorn

Katrin McClean was born in Gotha in 1963 as Katrin Dorn. She studied psychology, directed a youth theatre and worked in the independent cultural sector before establishing herself as an author. Under her earlier name she published the story collections *Der Hunger der Kellnerin* and *Tangogeschichten*, among others; since 2007 she has published under the name McClean. Alongside novels, stories and crime fiction she writes radio plays for the series *Fünf Freunde* and passes on her experience in writing workshops for children, young people and adults.
