Laura Alvarez is a pianist in the field of new music. In Günther Becker’s work “Zeitspuren” for two pianos she took the second piano part alongside Benjamin Kobler; Deutschlandfunk presented the recording made in the Kammermusiksaal Köln in its portrait of Günther Becker’s piano works. On 12 July 2025 Alvarez and Kobler gave the world premiere of Arnulf Herrmann’s “Spur und Umschrift” for piano four hands in the WDR-Funkhaus Köln. The album Günther Becker and the Piano appeared on Cybele in 2017 and lists Alvarez as pianist.
