Monique Bartels is a Dutch cellist and teacher. She studied with Jean Decroos at the Amsterdams Muzieklyceum and was for many years a member of various chamber ensembles in the Netherlands and abroad. Ton de Leeuw and Peter Jan Wagemans dedicated works for cello to her. Bartels taught at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and was among the founders of the National Cello Competition and of the Cello Biennale Amsterdam.
