Ömer Faruk Dede is a Turkish double bass player and lecturer in double bass and low strings at the Folkwang Universität der Künste. He is section principal of the double basses of the Tekfen Philharmonic and has played in international orchestral and chamber ensembles. His teaching includes master classes and the mentoring of young double bass players, not least within the Folkwang double bass marathon. The union of orchestral practice and teaching shapes his artistic profile.
