Born 1958 in Stuttgart; Siegfried Koepf is a German composer, performer and media artist. He studied piano and composition in Cologne and developed a practice between new music, algorithmics, music machines, video, object art and computer programs. As performer and composer he works with instrumental, electronic and visual materials and explores their interactions. His teaching in music theory complements a body of work that joins analytical thinking to playful invention.
