Simon Julian Doggenweiler-Menkhaus is a violinist and viola player. As a member of the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker he also comes to the fore in chamber music formations, among them the Quatuor Aviron. A recording by the Iris-Quartett at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf documents him in the viola part; there the ensemble devoted itself to Hindemith’s parody of Wagner’s *Fliegenden Holländer*. Doggenweiler-Menkhaus has also taken part as a guest musician in productions and concerts by Die Toten Hosen. His profile thus combines orchestral work, classical string quartet playing and cross-genre stage practice.
