Urs Faes

The Swiss writer Urs Faes was born in Aarau in 1947 and grew up in the Suhrental in Aargau. After studies and a doctorate he worked as a teacher and journalist, before his literary work shifted from poetry to the novel. His books frequently deal with memory, love and loss; among his titles are “Augenblicke im Paradies” (1994), “Und Ruth” (2001), “Liebesarchiv” (2007), “Paarbildung” (2010), “Halt auf Verlangen” (2017) and “Untertags” (2020). Faes received the Schweizer Schillerpreis and the Zolliker Kunstpreis, among others, and was nominated for the Schweizer Buchpreis in 2010 and 2017. He lives in Zurich and in San Feliciano in Italy. In 2006 Cybele Records released the audiobook Als hätte die Stille Türen.
