Valerie Eickhoff was born on 10 May 1996 in Herdecke. She completed her singing studies with Konrad Jarnot at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf with distinction; she attended masterclasses with Brigitte Fassbaender, Bernarda Fink and Eric Schneider, among others. After the Opernstudio Niederrhein (2018/19) and the opera studio of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein (2019/20) she became a member of the ensemble there in 2020/21 and took on roles including Rosina, Hänsel, Cherubino and the title role in “Ronja Räubertochter”. Since the 2024/25 season she has belonged to the ensemble of the Semperoper Dresden. In 2021 she received third prize in the voice category at the ARD-Musikwettbewerb, in 2022 the Emmerich-Smola-Preis and a third prize at the Concours musical international de Montréal, and in 2024 the OPUS KLASSIK as young artist of the year. In 2024 her recording of Hanns Eisler’s “Hollywood-Liederbuch” with Eric Schneider was released.
