Vladimir Dzhambazov was born in Sevlievo, Bulgaria, on 28 October 1954. As a DAAD scholar he studied at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen and then specialised in computer music and electronic media at the ICEM. In 2005 he was composer in residence of the Berlin Artists’ Programme of the DAAD. His output comprises electroacoustic, chamber and symphonic works as well as music for theatre, film and new media. Dzhambazov has taught sound design and virtual computer technologies at the New Bulgarian University and at the University of Sofia.
