André Dupont

Clarinettist / Bass clarinettist

The French clarinettist André Dupont belonged, with Paul Taillefer on oboe and André Gaby on bassoon, to the Trio d’anches André Dupont, which also appeared as the Trio d’anches de la Radiodiffusion Française. The group gave the first performances of important works for this scoring, among them Charles Koechlin’s Trio d’anches and Jean Françaix’s *Divertissement*. On 29 July 1950 Dupont played the clarinet part in the première of Julien-François Zbinden’s Trio d’anches at French radio. He is documented on bass clarinet in a historical recording of Schönberg’s Suite op. 29 under Max Deutsch.
