Andreas Carlsson is a Swedish songwriter. Before joining the Cheiron studio in Stockholm as a songwriter, he tried his hand as a pop singer and opened for the Backstreet Boys in Sweden in 1996. At Cheiron he worked with Max Martin and Denniz Pop; among other songs, he co-wrote NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye”, Britney Spears’s “Born to Make You Happy” and Katy Perry’s “Waking Up in Vegas”. For the stage, he contributed to the Cirque du Soleil production “Paramour”. On a gala recording by Doc Heilein and Friends, Jan Primke, Boby C. Purakal, Chris Möhlenkamp and Björn Bergs sing “I Want It That Way”, which he wrote with Max Martin for the Backstreet Boys album “Millennium” (1999).
