* 1974 in Düsseldorf; German actor and performer; he was already on stage at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus as a teenager, first in 1989 in Werner Schroeter’s “Medea”. In 1991 he played Romeo with the English-language Shakespeare group CCQ in Cologne, and from 1992 to 1996 he attended the Westfälische Schauspielschule Bochum. He had his first leading film role in “Maries Lied” (1994); as Esau Matt in the television serial “Der Laden” (1998) he received the Adolf-Grimme-Preis together with the cast in 1999. These were followed by “Solino”, “Das Leben der Anderen” and the leading role in “Schläfer”, among others. Since 2003 he has been a member of the Berlin-based performance collective Gob Squad. On the album Mirjam Wiesemann: Auf Flügeln in die Tiefe – Geschichten vom Aufwachsen (2010) he reads the story “Warum spielst Du Kontrabass, Vater?”, to which Wlodzimierz Gula plays the double bass.
