Born in Alsace in 1972, Benoît Haller is a tenor, conductor and music teacher. He studied ensemble conducting with Hans Michael Beuerle at the Freiburg Musikhochschule and graduated with distinction in 1996; in parallel he pursued singing studies in Strasbourg and Freiburg. In 2001 he founded La Chapelle Rhénane, a German-French ensemble for early music, which he has directed artistically ever since. As tenor and conductor he devotes himself above all to Baroque opera, to the Passions and cantatas of Johann Sebastian Bach and to great oratorios from Mozart to Berlioz; since 2021 he has also directed the Festival Voix et Route Romane.
