David Pittman-Jennings

David Pittman-Jennings is an American baritone with a wide-ranging operatic and concert repertoire. He first studied oboe at the University of Oklahoma and then singing with Elisabeth Parham in Los Angeles; an early permanent engagement took him to the Oper Graz. His international roles range from Agamemnon, Mandryka and Scarpia to Moses in Schönberg’s *Moses und Aron* and the title role in Berg’s *Wozzeck*. For the Deutsche Grammophon recording of *Moses und Aron* he received a Grammy in 1996; from 2007 to 2017 he taught singing at the Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam.
