Evelin Degen

Born 1966 in Hilden; Evelin Degen is a flautist, teacher and a distinguished interpreter of contemporary music. She studied at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen and has taught since 1997 at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, which made her an honorary professor in 2011. As a soloist she has given the first performances of numerous works dedicated to her and has appeared at festivals in Europe, America and Asia. She is a co-founder of the interdisciplinary PART ensemble, directed the E-MEX ensemble until 2023 and develops repertoire for flute and organ with the organist Matthias Geuting.
