Inge Morgenroth is a Berlin composer and saxophonist. After studying literature she turned increasingly to music and played the saxophone in various experimental rock formations; since 1994 she has been a member of the Ensemble für Neue Musik Zwischentöne. In 1993 she began to experiment with tape music, and working in the electronic studio of the Technische Universität Berlin gave her decisive impulses; in 1997 she was a guest at the GMEM studio in Marseille. As a solo performer and composer she has taken part in European festivals and has written works for DeutschlandRadio, the WDR and Bayerischer Rundfunk. In the Cybele catalogue she appears on DEGEM Vol. 5 – Imaginary Landscapes (2000) with “Requiem für ein Schwein” (1997), premiered in Berlin in 1998 with the dancer Janine Schneider, and on the audiobook Mirjam Wiesemann: Weht ein Stadtspaziergang durch den Traum (2014).
