Dr Matthias Heilein, known as Doc Heilein, is a Düsseldorf internist and musician. Alongside his medical work he sings, plays guitar and piano and, with „Doc Heilein and Friends“, develops benefit concerts that bring together artists from his circle. The programmes join classical music and opera to gospel, pop and musical encounters of his own. With his recordings and concerts Heilein supports social and medical projects, among them cancer research initiatives.
