Born in Daroca on 22 June 1611, died there on 27 June 1679; Pablo Bruna was a Spanish organist and composer of the seventeenth century. Blinded by smallpox in childhood, he became known as „El ciego de Daroca“. From 1631 he served as organist at Santa María la Mayor y de los Sagrados Corporales in Daroca and from 1674 additionally as maestro de capilla. His surviving tientos, especially those written for the divided register of the Spanish organ, the tientos de medio registro, are among the central works of Iberian keyboard music between Cabezón and Cabanilles.
