Born in Daroca on 22 June 1611 and died there on 27 June 1679; Pablo Bruna was an organist and composer of the seventeenth century. Blinded by smallpox in childhood, he became known as El ciego de Daroca. From 1631 he served as organist at Santa Maria la Mayor y de los Sagrados Corporales in Daroca, and from 1674 additionally as Kapellmeister. More than 30 organ works survive, predominantly tientos, among them tientos de medio registro for the divided stop of the Spanish organ, as well as a few vocal works, among them a Benedictus Dominus and three villancicos. On the Cybele album Mallorca Edition Historic Organs (Vol. 5) (2017) he is represented as a composer.
