Born in Wuppertal in 1970, Ralf Haarmann works as a composer, musician, sound artist, radio dramatist, author and director. He studied electronic composition at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen and develops music for radio drama, theatre, electroacoustic concert situations and sound installations. His artistic work joins composed form, improvisation, language and spatial listening. Together with Christiane Hommelsheim he founded the label klangmœbel in 2011; since 2016 he has run the studio klangmœbel audiospace in Münster.
