Guitarist who came to music as a child playing with friends in the streets of Bayonne. In Paris he studied guitar in the class of Christian Rivet, analysis at the École Normale and chamber music with Eric Le Sage and Paul Meyer; in Montreal he completed his Master d’Interprétation with Alvaro Pierri. In 2011 he founded the duo R2T2 in Vienna with the guitarist Tizoc Romero, its repertoire ranging from the baroque through world music to contemporary music. The duo won first prizes at the international competitions in Omis, Elche and Schweinfurt as well as the audience prize in Valencia; on two tours of India it combined concerts and masterclasses with improvisations alongside local instrumentalists. He brings the guitar into dialogue with violin, double bass, flute, string quartet and orchestra. In the Cybele catalogue he plays the guitar on the album Jacqueline Fontyn: Trios (2022).
