Santiago Cimadevilla comes from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and lives and works in the Netherlands. He first received a classical piano training at the Conservatorio Municipal Manuel de Falla and then studied bandoneon, composition and arranging at Codarts Rotterdam. As a bandoneon player, composer and arranger he joins tango to classical, baroque and contemporary music; his output also includes orchestrations of works by Astor Piazzolla. Concert tours have taken him across Europe, Argentina and the USA. At Codarts he teaches bandoneon and ensemble playing and coordinates the artistic research programme of the master’s course in music.
