Born 1966 in Mayen; Thomas Mombaur is a German pianist, composer and teacher. He studied with Klaus Oldemeyer, David Levine and Roberto Szidon and took his concert diploma at the Hochschule für Musik Düsseldorf in 1995. As a soloist and chamber musician he joins classical and Romantic repertoire to an openness towards jazz and new music. As a teacher he also shapes the musical life of his region and works regularly with young musicians.
