Walter Skolnik is an American composer; he was born in New York and lives and works there. His most important teacher was the composer Bernhard Heiden, whose craftsmanlike clarity is felt in his chamber works. His output comprises chamber music, pieces for wind band and orchestral works. In the Cybele catalogue he is represented by two works on Hindemith. Heiden.
