Christian Roderburg

Christian Roderburg, born in 1954, works as a percussionist, marimba player, composer and teacher. From 1978 to 2017 he worked freelance; since the 1990s an essential part of his work has shifted to teaching, most recently as professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, Wuppertal campus. His output comprises compositions for stage and film, recordings of new music and arrangements of Bach’s cello suites for marimba. He has also shaped the work of percussion ensembles of his own and realised silent film productions with live music.
