Born 1960; Frank Niehusmann is a German composer, author and sound artist. He studied philosophy and history at the Ruhr University Bochum, graduating with a master’s degree in 1986. Since 1978 he has composed electronic music for concert, sound installation, theatre, film and video and has also worked as a radio and television author. His internationally presented works join acoustic observation, media reflection and compositional precision; for his sound art he received an award at the Bourges competition, among other distinctions.
