Philipp Alexander Marguerre studied piano with Andreas Pistorius at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim and has performed since 2010 as a pianist and song accompanist. In 2002 he became a member of *sinfonia di vetro*; since then he has appeared worldwide as a glass instrumentalist and opera soloist. He plays in particular the verrophone developed by Sascha Reckert and has appeared with it at houses such as the Semperoper Dresden, the Royal Opera House, the Bavarian State Opera, La Scala in Milan and the Salzburg Festival. His particular interest lies in the repertoire of the early Classical and Romantic periods and in new works for glass instruments; in 2006 he founded the publishing house Inter-Note.
