The Slovak Philharmonic Choir was founded in 1946 as the mixed choir of Czechoslovak Radio and has belonged since 1957 to the ensembles of the Slovak Philharmonic in Bratislava. Its profile joins a cappella programmes to the great choral-symphonic and music theatre repertoire, making it an important representative of professional Slovak choral art. Since the 2023/24 season the choir has been directed by chorus master Jan Rozehnal. Concert tours and collaborations with international orchestras and conductors regularly take the ensemble beyond Slovakia.
