German harpist. She studied in Saarbrücken, Paris and Munich. As a scholarship holder of the Münchner Orchesterakademie she worked with Sir Georg Solti, Sergiu Celibidache and Bernard Haitink. Since 1989 she has been principal harpist of the Philharmonisches Orchester Hagen. As a guest she plays regularly with the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks and the Radiophilharmonie Saarbrücken-Kaiserslautern as well as at the opera houses in Cologne, Essen and Dortmund. Alongside her orchestral work she is active as a chamber musician and soloist; concert tours have taken her to Japan, the USA, Latin America and European countries. She has taken part in radio and CD recordings and has been invited to chamber music festivals, among them the Rheingau Musik Festival, the Moselmusikfestival and the Schlossfestspiele Brühl. In 2024 Cybele released the SACD ..für: Works for Campanula (+Harp) in a duo with Michael Denhoff (Campanula), with works by Günter Bialas, Michael Denhoff, Johann Sebastian Bach, György Kurtag, Torben Maiwald and Heinz-Albert Heindrichs.
