Bill Bottrell is a producer, engineer and songwriter. He engineered and mixed Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” and Tom Petty’s “Full Moon Fever”, co-produced tracks on Michael Jackson’s album “Dangerous”, which he also engineered, mixed and in part co-wrote, and produced Shelby Lynne’s “I Am Shelby Lynne”. From August 1992 he invited musicians every Tuesday to his Toad Hall studio in Pasadena; these sessions gave rise to Sheryl Crow’s album “Tuesday Night Music Club” (1993), which he produced, engineered, mixed and co-wrote. As producer of “All I Wanna Do” he received the 1995 Grammy for Record of the Year. On the gala recording Doc Heilein and Friends Gala 2021 – Joyful (2022) Levin Blümel and Leslie Jost sing “All I Wanna Do”, which he wrote with Sheryl Crow, Kevin Gilbert, David Baerwald and Wyn Cooper; he shaped the chorus from the words of Cooper’s poem “Fun”.
