Christoph Anders is a multi-instrumentalist and singer of the Frankfurt experimental and improvisation scene. He plays piano, synthesizer, guitar, saxophone, violin and organ. In 1982, together with Heiner Goebbels, Alfred Harth and Chris Cutler, he was among the founders of the group Cassiber, which existed until 1992 and appeared in Europe, South America, the USA and Japan; its albums include Man or Monkey (1982) and Beauty and the Beast (1984). In Rolf Riehm’s WDR radio piece “Machandelboom” of 1982 Anders played electric guitar and percussion and also took part as a voice; the first broadcast took place on 12 January 1983. The recording appeared on Cybele in 2003.
