Ines Rasbach

The recorder player Ines Rasbach studied in Frankfurt am Main with Sabine Bauer and Michael Schneider and in Rotterdam with Thera de Clerck and Han Tol. After several first and second prizes at Jugend musiziert she won first prize at the Internationaler Blockflötenwettbewerb Calw with the Trio Diritto in 1992; with the ensemble recordings for Moeck and Cybele were also made. She has worked with Musica Antiqua Köln, Le Concert d’Apollon and the harpsichordist Guy Penson and has appeared at the Tage Alter Musik Herne and the Oberstdorfer Musiksommer. Since 2000 she has belonged to the recorder trio Apsara, which she forms with Tomma Wessel and Katelijne Lanneau and which combines early and new music for recorders, drawing in electronic sounds and unusual instruments. With the Zeder Consort she devised a Renaissance programme centred on Philippe de Monte at the Lunalia festival in 2021. With Apsara she recorded Matthew Shlomowitz’s “Explorations in Polytonality and Other Musical Wonders”; volumes 2 and 4 appeared on Carrier Records.
