Percussionist; he studied percussion at the Rotterdam Conservatory and at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, where he received his performer’s diploma in 1999. As a freelance percussionist he has played with orchestras and ensembles such as the Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest, the Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest, the German-Dutch Ensemble S, the Duo Contemporain and Percussive Rotterdam; in 2009 he was a member of the DoelenEnsemble and the Carrefour marimba quartet. On the album Karl Amadeus Hartmann and the String Quartet (2009) he plays Hartmann’s Little Concerto for string quartet and percussion with the DoelenKwartet.
