Aline Zylberajch

Harpsichord

Aline Zylberajch is a harpsichordist and pianist. She studied at the Conservatoire de Paris, among others harpsichord with Robert Veyron-Lacroix, analysis with Claude Ballif and music history with Norbert Dufourcq, and at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. She has performed with La Chapelle Royale under Philippe Herreweghe, Les Musiciens du Louvre under Marc Minkowski and the Strasbourg ensemble Le Parlement de musique under Martin Gester. As a soloist and with numerous chamber music partners she cultivates a wide-ranging repertoire for harpsichord and piano, presenting unjustly neglected composers alongside well-known works; she is particularly drawn to encounters with vocal music, with opera, cantata and lied. Her recordings include “Le Salon sensible” with Jill Feldman (1987) and chamber music by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach; the specialist press has honoured her recordings with the Diapason d’Or, 10 de Répertoire and Choc du Monde de la Musique, among others. For many years she taught harpsichord at the conservatory and the Haute École des Arts du Rhin in Strasbourg; at the time of the recording she was professor of didactics at the Conservatoire de Paris, and master classes have taken her to Germany, Australia, Austria, Spain, Japan, Mexico, Poland, the Czech Republic and the USA. She is a founding member of the French harpsichord society Clavecin en France and serves as its president. On the Cybele album Dreyer. Détry. Vivaldi: Sonatas for Solo Instruments and b.c. (2019), recorded in February 2019 in the Immanuelskirche Wuppertal, she plays harpsichord alongside Renata Duarte, Ricardo Rapoport and Annabelle Luis.
