Recorder

Recorder player; studied with Michael Schneider and Rainer Lehmbruck at the Musikhochschule Frankfurt am Main, where he passed the final artistic examination with distinction in 1991 and in 1993 received the Hochschule’s first concert diploma in recorder. In 1989 he founded the Trio Diritto with Jeremias Schwarzer and Ines Rasbach, which won a first prize at the Internationaler Blockflötenwettbewerb Calw in 1992. He has performed with La Stagione Frankfurt, Musica Antiqua Köln, the Gürzenich-Orchester and the Bach-Collegium Stuttgart, among others. Since 1997 he has taught recorder as a main subject and ensemble music in historical performance practice at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main. On the album without compression (1998) he plays, in the Trio Diritto, works for three recorders by Riehm, Marbe, Vieru, Dinescu, Kröll, Thomas and Goldstein.
