Richard P. Hartmann

Dr Richard P. Hartmann, born on 12 June 1935, is the only son of Karl Amadeus and Elisabeth Hartmann. As a Munich gallery owner and publisher he founded the „Richard P. Hartmann Bibliothek“; its first volume, the print portfolio „Epitaph Karl Amadeus Hartmann“, appeared in 1966 in memory of his father. With his recollections „Mein Vater und mein Onkel, der Maler“ he contributed a personal perspective to Hartmann research and supported the digital opening up of the compositional estate by the Bavarian State Library.
