* 1973 in Freiburg im Breisgau; conductor; from 1994 studied conducting with Hermann Michael at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich and completed his studies in 2000 with the master class diploma. From 1996 he was musical director of the ensemble piano possibile, with which he realised numerous concerts and music theatre productions; he also conducted opera productions in Hamburg, Chur and Lucerne. In 1998 he was admitted to the conductors’ support programme of the Deutscher Musikrat, and from the 1999/2000 season he was engaged at the Opernhaus Halle (Saale). On the album piano possibile (2000) he conducts the ensemble in works by Klaus Schedl, Carl Christian Bettendorf, Armando Gentilucci, Hans-Jürgen von Bose and Mark-Anthony Turnage.
