Ksenija Lukic

Soprano

Soprano born in Kragujevac (Yugoslavia); she studied singing in Belgrade, completed a degree in Italian language and literature at the University of Belgrade and continued her training in Siena and Berlin. As a lyric soprano she has sung more than sixty roles and has appeared at the Berliner Festwochen, the Edinburgh Festival and the Salzburg Festival, among others. In new music she has worked with Klangforum Wien, Ensemble Modern, the Musikfabrik and Ensemble recherche; she sang Eva in Karlheinz Stockhausen’s “Donnerstag aus Licht” and took part in a CD recording of Pierre Boulez’s “Improvisation sur Mallarmé”. On the album Rolf Riehm: Orchestral Works (2005) she sings, with Christoph Späth and Yaron Windmüller, the soprano part in “Leonce und und …”, the second of Riehm’s Bach paraphrases “Die Erde ist eine Schale von dunkelm Gold”.
