Vera Forester

Born and brought up in Basel; Vera Forester is an author. She received acting tuition in Zurich and studied German, English and Romance studies. At first she worked as an actor, director and dramaturge, later as an author for radio, television, newspapers and magazines. In 2001 her book “Lessing und Moses Mendelssohn. Geschichte einer Freundschaft” appeared, which traces the correspondence and the friendship between Gotthold Ephraim Lessing and Moses Mendelssohn and was presented in a revised edition in 2010; in 2016 there followed the novel “Im Jahr der Brandzeichen”. She has also published the book of stories “Loreley Rapid” as well as short stories and audiobooks. Since 2005 she has been an editor of the internet portal theaterkompass.de.
